The Vampire of Cumberland
In Episode 129, Jeff Belanger and Ray Auger search for a vampire buried in a tiny family cemetery in Cumberland, Rhode Island. In February of 1796, the father of Abigail Staples petitioned the town to exhume her body and perform some experiments in an effort to save his other daughter, Lavinia who was dying from consumption. Some believed if Abigail was indeed a vampire, perhaps they could break the spell to save Lavinia.
I very much enjoy your podcast and Audible. I live on Nate Whipple, home to several historical cemeteries including the Staples. We’ve had several strange and sad incidents in this very sleepy town including:

I live in a townhouse in the latter. There was also a suicide in an adjacent house on mendon road.
I’ve had several strange happenings in my
townhouse, e.g., a melamine dish shattering, feeling very uncomfortable, many lucid dreams, etc. I do burn palo santo, sage and have tourmaline on my windows and entrances. Thank you, gentlemen!
