I was the writer and researcher for the Ghost Adventures series on the Travel Channel. It was a fun project for me to work on and a great production team. The production company for the show hired me to do what I’ve been doing for years: research the haunts, and find the witnesses who would be willing to tell their stories. I pass on my research and findings, and the cast and crew take it from there.
Though they incorporate investigation techniques different from anything I use, I think what Zak, Nick, and Aaron do is a part of the greater paranormal discussion. Some will love it, some will hate it, and that’s something we run into with just about every paranormal group out there. Hopefully this show will add to the debate and discussion, and at the very least, be some entertaining television!
Working for the visual medium of television was a new undertaking for me, and I learned quite a bit during the process. I wish the cast and crew the best of luck with the new show! If you haven’t seen Ghost Adventures, you can tune in Friday nights at 9:00 PM on the Travel Channel.
Hey Jeff–
I always like how you talk about the field. I think your background in reporting lends to a very different take on things that is both refreshing and honest and that is something we need in this field to keep it going, growing and alive. I can’t remember which interview I heard you say it, but somewhere you talked about whether or not it’s legitmate or if everything can be debunked…shouldn’t we want to know? (or something like that).
Anyway, cool beans! Maybe you’ll leap into TV with your own show (cough cough ahem…)

I think it was good on there part about how they have you for there researcher!!!
You HAVE to check out Covatta’s Brinton Lodge in Douglassville, PA!!! Bobby mackies music world can’t even come close to the amount of paranormal activity going on there…. My girlfriends family has owned the resturaunt from the 70’s – 2000’s then with the economy it went under after several floods… The bank owns it now but EVERYONE INCLUDING A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH knows it is extremely haunted… And not in a good way… It would be my pleasure to connect u with the family that lived there in the resturaunt for so long and have so many stories of experiences including her father who passed right before the resturaunt went under…
